Living For The Future
How to start FLORIDA: We planted nine trees on our yard, three low water native shade trees each on the east, south, and west sides of our home. Our lawn is a well manicured and 20% of our property. The rest is low water (only rain) native flower beds and native shrub islands with decoratve dark red cypress chips.
For areas in the country that home heating need is important: Tree planting should be of a choice that the trees's leaf drop off in the fall season and sprout in the spring.
Shrubs in all areas should be native and low water requirement. Water use is costly and lower use is important.
